NOW AVAILABLE: FTA PTASP TAC Update–Week of November 22

The Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP) Technical Assistance Center (TAC) update is now available. Read this week’s updates focused on recent questions from transit agencies about the PTASP regulation (49 CFR Part 673).

As a final reminder, please complete the PTASP survey for transit agencies and States and State Safety Oversight Agencies by November 24, 2021.

Additionally, register for the upcoming PTASP Webinar: Using the National Transit Database (NTD) to Support Safety Analysis in Safety Management Systems (SMS) on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 1:00 pm–2:30 pm ET. This webinar will review NTD data available to support transit safety analysis and provide examples of how agencies can use this data in their safety management activities. The presentation will also include tips for using NTD data tools, such as the Accessing and Using NTD Safety and Security Event Data Guide.
