Correction to Transit Program Changes, Authorized Funding Levels, and Implementation of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act FY22 Apportionments, Allocations, Program Information, and Interim Guidance

FTA issued a correction notice last week updating its Fiscal Year 2022 Apportionments, Allocations, Program Information, and Interim Guidance. The original notice, published April 28, 2022, provided information on the FY22 funding available for FTA programs and provided guidance and requirements.

The FY 2022 Apportionment Program Correction Notice updates the April 2022 Apportionment Program notice regarding:

• Pre-award authority;
• The expenditure deadline for the Economic Recovery grants (TIGER), Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) discretionary grants, and Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) discretionary grants;
• The authorized amounts for FY 2022-2026 for the Section 5311 Formula Grants for Rural Areas Program; and
• The authorized and appropriated amounts for the FY 2022 Rural Transportation Assistance Program funding.
