FTA to Co-Host Webinar on the Role of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Buses in a Zero-Emission Future
Published on: March 17, 2024
On Wednesday, March 20, FTA will co-host a webinar, “The Role of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Buses in a Zero-Emission Future,” with the American Public Transportation Association (APTA). The webinar will feature transit executives providing their perspective on using hydrogen fuel cells as a power source for their zero-emission operations. Registration for the 1 p.m. CT webinar is required.
The session is part of FTA’s Sustainable Transit for a Healthy Planet Challenge, which supports President Biden’s goal of achieving a 50-percent reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from 2005 levels by 2030. The challenge encourages transit agencies to adopt strategies to reduce GHG emissions, such as creating climate action or sustainability plans, converting fleets to electric buses, or making facilities more energy efficient.
