TRACS Member Application Deadline Extended to 4/8
Published on: March 15, 2022
The deadline to apply to be a Transit Advisory Committee for Safety (TRACS) member is extended to April 8, 2022. You can review the TRACS Extension Federal Register Notice for more information. FTA will select up to 25 qualified individuals interested in serving on TRACS for a two-year term. TRACS provides information, advice and recommendations about transit safety to the U.S. Secretary of Transportation and the FTA Administrator.
Applicants should be knowledgeable of trends and issues related to rail transit and/or bus transit safety. Along with their experience in the rail transit and/or bus transit industry, applicants will also be evaluated and selected based on factors including leadership and organizational skills, region of the country represented, diversity characteristics and overall balance of industry representation.
Applications and questions should be submitted via email to TRACS@dot.gov. Applications consist of the applicant’s name and organizational affiliation, a cover letter describing the applicant’s qualifications and interest in serving on TRACS, a curriculum vitae or resume of the applicant’s qualifications and contact information (applicant’s address, phone number and email).
