USDOT to host Getting Ready for the SMART Grants Webinar (7/28)
The U.S. Department of Transportation will host a webinar to provide information about the upcoming Strengthening Mobility and Revolutionizing Transportation (SMART) Grants Program. Register for the Getting Ready for the SMART Grants webinar, scheduled for 12 p.m. CT July 28, 2022, to learn more about this new grant opportunity.
Established by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the SMART Grants Program was created to give grants to eligible public agencies to conduct demonstration projects on advanced smart community technologies and systems to improve transportation safety. For Fiscal Years 2022-2026, the SMART Grants Program will set aside $100 million annually.
The webinar will provide an overview of the SMART Grants Program, information on the application process, and the types of technology demonstration areas funded. Resources, including application and eligibility information, can be found on the SMART website.
