Webinar for FTA Transit Worker and Rider Safety Funding Opportunity (January 18)

Join FTA staff at a webinar on January 18 to learn more about a funding opportunity for a research project to help transit agencies improve safety by addressing assaults against frontline workers and riders.
The project, which will identify safety risks for transit workers and riders, will determine the most effective mitigation strategies to minimize those risks and promote the implementation of those strategies. The notice of funding opportunity provides $500,000 to a research organization in a competitive process.
Potential applicants to the Transit Worker and Rider Safety Best Practices Research (TWRS) project are encouraged to attend. The webinar will provide an overview of the program and allow an opportunity to ask questions. Register for the webinar, which will be held 1:30-2:30 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, January 18.
